A college educator who was allegedly a pin of a vehicle thievery gang was arrested here, law said on Wednesday. Amarnath Gupta, who teaches immunology in Guru Govind Singh College was inactive by personnel on charges of operating a vehicle lifting ring along with others. Gupta was arrested from his address at Rajendra Nagar, a fashionable section here, after guard nabbed Grija Prasad Keshri, a kickshaw shop owner, in Kaimur district a day ago. Semiofficial sources here said that a police team raided and arrested Gupta on the part of an FIR (low info information) lodged by Raju Kumar, a anesthetic community occupant. Raju in his disorder accused Gupta and Keshri of commerce him a vehicle with unreal documents. He said that he returned the container after he recovered that the liberty signal did not igniter the one mentioned in the credit. But Gupta and Keshri refused to turn the money despite repeated requests. Supervisor of Guard (Kaimur) P.K. Srivastava said the guard began investigating links between Gupta and Keshri with another gangs active in container lifting.
